“Fear of God is the Beginning of Wisdom” is the motto of the school. St.Mary’s Public School was started in 2006 by the St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral. It It is managed by the St.Mary’s Charitable Trust, Kuruppampady.
St.Mary’s Public School, Kuruppampady is a minority educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is specially meant to cater to the needs of Jacobite Syrian students. However, it is also open to other students irrespective of caste, creed or religion. SMPS is in its developmental stage striving hard to excel in academic and co-curricular activities. Optional subjects like Roller Skating, Karate, Yoga, Instrumental Music, Music, Stitching and Art & Craft are provided. Other facilities are Library, separate Science Labs, Maths Lab, Computer-cum-Language Lab, Smart Classes etc.,
The slow and steady growth of SMPS is the pride of St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedralites.
The school was begun in 2006 with play group up to Grade VI. Currently it has grades up to Grade X. The first batch of Grade X bore its fruits in 2014-15. The distinguishing feature of this educational institution is that it draws inspiration in abundance from the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose relics are preserved in St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral.
